Just finishing up another special order. Four doilies done. Two solid white and two with the green border. It takes me two weeks to finish each one. My hands are very sore. LOL

On "the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" in 1918: World War I ends.


In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

I brought this back for Veterans Day. My respect goes to all who have served their country.
